Triguard SC300E Ongoing Supportability,Upgrade Options, and Configuration Options

OPTIONS OFFERED BY SENSIA

+ Maintain existing Triguard SC300Esystem. The existing Triguard SC300Esystem can be maintained in servicebecause ongoing support and newbuild spare modules are readilyavailable.

+ Upgrade to a Trusted system. Thisinvolves replacing the processorswith a current product Trustedprocessor (“top-end” upgrade), anda bespoke interface module, whichthen communicates directly with theretained Triguard SC300E I/O.

+ Migrate. This is designed as anatural progression following on fromthe top-end upgrade and involvesreplacing the legacy I/O with aTrusted system I/O over extendedtimeframes to create a completeTrusted system. This removes anyproduct availability concerns for over20 years, with low cost and minimaldisruption or loss of operationalcapability.+ Replace. This is seen as not beingnecessary given the current lifecyclestatus and supportability, along withthe system lifespan extension optionsavailable for these systems.

TRIGUARD SC300E SYSTEM

The Triguard SC300E system is a productthat is owned, manufactured, and fullysupported by Sensia. The intellectualproperty rights (IPR) were transfered toSensia and were previously owned byRockwell Automation since 2007, withthe acquisition of ICS Triplex, which hadowned the IPR for the Triguard productsifrom 2002.

LIFECYCLE STATUS CATEGORIES

The lifecycle phase of each product rangeis reviewed periodically and assignedaccording to the status definitions asbelow. There are no ICS Triplex legacyproducts in the active status category.

LIFECYCLE OF TRIGUARD SC300ESYSTEM

The product lifecycle status,management, definition, and IPR of theTriguard SC300E system are owned bySensia. The current lifecycle status of theTriguard SC300E product range is activemature.

UPGRADE OPTIONS FOR TRIGUARDSC300E USERS

The Triguard SC300E is still fullysupported and therefore can bemaintained in service. However, becauseof the age of the Triguard SC300 system,a simple and easy upgrade path existsto transition to the latest current product(the Trusted T8000 series), with verylittle disruption, a maximum of 4 hoursdowntime, and for a very low cost withthe correct preparation.

The upgrade can be completed instructured and scheduled stagesover extended timeframes to meetthe operational needs of the assetand accommodate the financialconsiderations of the end user.
