GE Hydran M2 Mark III Enhanced DGA monitoring for transformers The Hydran M2 is a compact permanently installed on-line transformer monitoring device that will warn personnel of developing failure conditions. It continuously monitors the combined values(ppm)of various faulty gases or hydrogen only values(depending on the sensor purchased). In addition,it tracks the moisture in the oil(readings are in%RH and ppm).
By adding additional sensors, the Hydran M2 can also calculate mathematical models of transformers based on IEEE and IEC standards to provide more information about transformer performance.
Characteristics of the
Easy to upgrade on-site,the Hydran M2 accepts analog signals and monitors other critical transformer parameters
Calculation of winding hot spots and other IEEE transformer models to enhance diagnosis of transformer condition(depending on installed sensor)
The Hydran M2 is easy to install on existing single transformer valves and typically does not require power outages
Integrated display and keyboard simplify local user interaction and Hydran M2 data visualization
A built-in moisture sensor measures moisture in the oil, which is critical for identifying paper degradation and gasket leaks
Compatible with GE's acclaimed Perception software for download, trend analysis, and analysis of transformer health data
